About Adalo
Adalo treats an application as something you draw rather than something you configure. Screens sit on a canvas, components anchor to each other, and one design is laid out for three screen widths. Behind them is a database you define, so what the app shows a person depends on who they are, and feature templates cover the parts everyone needs anyway — payments, scheduling, a social feed.
The assistant is what keeps it approachable. It builds and edits from plain language, it is included on every plan rather than metered separately, and it is marked as a beta throughout. Around it, a no-cost plan lets you build and test as many apps as you like without a card, so the learning happens before any money does.
The cost is the rung you have to reach before anyone else can see the result. Nothing publishes on the free plan, a domain you own needs the entry paid tier, and that tier is dearer than most of what a small business would compare it against. Adalo scores 1 for value for exactly that reason, and 3 for how far a beginner gets alone: the canvas is friendly, but you choose an app layout before designing anything.
