Linktree is the clearest example in this directory of a product that got popular by removing choices. There is no domain to buy, no records to edit and no hosting to pick, so the path from signing up to a live page is minutes and involves no decision a beginner could get wrong. Nothing here can be got wrong, which is what a 5 for getting something live means.

The design controls match that philosophy: preset themes plus a closed set of skin-level choices — background, button shape, button and text colour, font. Selling digital products works on the free plan, with the seller fee falling as the plan rises, and a share title and description can be set from the admin on the paid tiers.

It is not a website, and the directory records that on the card rather than in the small print. The address cannot move off the vendor's namespace on any plan, so anything built here stays here and the audience you send to it cannot follow you elsewhere — growth scores 1 on that basis alone. Removing the branding sits two tiers above the cheapest paid plan, a live pilot may show advertising to visitors of a free page, and there is one page to grow into rather than a site.
