That format suits a business whose story is short and linear, and the editor is arranged around filling in sections rather than composing a page.

Where it differs from the minimal end of this category is that it did not stay minimal. A store, a blog, signup forms and multiple sites all sit inside the paid tier, along with a domain for the first year, so a small business that starts with a scrolling page and later wants to sell something is not obliged to leave.

The downside is visual range. The sections are fixed in what they can become, so sites made with it share a strong family resemblance, and there is little room for a design that does not fit the format. The paid tier is also priced in line with the mainstream builders rather than the one-page ones, which makes it a considered choice rather than an obvious cheap one.
