Gumroad removes the subscription entirely. There is no plan, no tier and no monthly bill, and a domain the seller already owns can be pointed at the storefront with the certificate issued for it. For someone with one thing to sell and no certainty it will sell at all, that removes the only cost that would have been incurred regardless of results.

Email to past buyers is included, and setting up a product takes minutes.

The cost is a large share of every sale, and it is unavoidable: ten per cent plus a fixed charge on a direct sale, thirty through its own discovery marketplace, and close to thirteen per cent once card processing is added. No plan reduces it because no plan exists. Two further things a seller should know: the vendor address stays live alongside the custom domain and serves the same content, and buyers still collect their files from a vendor download link. The storefront also offers almost nothing in the way of design control.
