About Softr
Softr's shortcut is that its templates bring their databases with them. Copying one puts both the interface and the underlying data into your workspace, so what you open is a working application rather than an empty shell to be wired up. If you would rather describe it, the assistant takes a description and produces a configured app or block inside the editor, metered by a credit allowance that every plan carries including the free one.
The search surface is better than most tools of this shape bother with: every page has meta title, description and slug settings, the workspace has site-wide settings and search-console verification, and list items can be given indexable detail pages. Blocks come in fixed layouts you can swap, with a per-block styling panel and a workspace-wide theme.
The catch is the meter, or rather four of them. Builder seats, logged-in users split into team and client, database records and workflow actions per month all run at once, and hitting the workflow ceiling pauses the automations until the month turns. The plan price is a floor: credits are topped up as add-ons, extra users and seats are billed on top, and an extra domain is its own charge.
