SmugMug has been storing photographs for a long time, and the site it publishes is downstream of that. Storage is unlimited on every plan, print fulfilment is built in, and the whole product is organised around galleries of images rather than pages of content. For a photographer whose main problem is where the files live, that ordering is the right way round.

Support is strong, with a live channel available round the clock rather than gated to a higher tier.

The cost is two things that make it harder to recommend confidently. The plan structure is genuinely unclear: the help centre documents custom domains against a tier that is no longer sold, and the current roster does not map onto it cleanly, so which plan a reader actually needs for their own domain rests on inference rather than a current page. Raw file storage is a paid add-on on every tier despite storage being described as unlimited, which is the kind of exception that matters to exactly the customer this product is for.
